Associate, Compensation & Benefits Tax | Alvarez & Marsal

What You’ll Actually Do
• Benchmark: Benchmark compensation and develop reports to support compensation recommendations for C-suite executives and Board of Directors.
• Design: Design long-term incentive awards while considering the tax, accounting, and other regulatory ramifications.
• Analyze: Work on mergers and acquisitions, including performing complex calculations for target companies and their executives.
• Research: Research emerging issues and areas, such as tax reform legislation and new SEC requirements, to keep clients updated on the changing regulatory environment.
• Calculate: Prepare tax calculations and various analyses/models to help clients make better-informed compensation decisions and comply with applicable rules and regulations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, taxation or other relevant field. Definitive plans for meeting minimum educational requirements for CPA eligibility and licensure in the assigned office state are required.
• Experience: High proficiency in spreadsheets.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information, strong analytical skills, and the ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines.
