The TL;DR
• Role: Assistant Manager
• Type: Part-time (opportunity for up to 40 hours per week)
• Location: In-person, Fort Worth, TX
• Pay: $14.00–$14.50 hourly
• Team: Works directly to support the Store Manager in daily store operations and customer service.
• Mission: To ensure the efficient operation of the convenience store by providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, restocking merchandise, and supporting overall store management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, assisting them with purchases, inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming and efficient service experience.
• Sales Transactions: Accurately operate the cash register, handle various payment methods, and process sales, returns, and exchanges in line with company procedures.
• Merchandise Management: Oversee the stocking, organization, and display of merchandise on shelves, ensuring products are readily available and the store is well-presented.
• Operational Support: Work closely with the Store Manager to execute daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with administrative tasks.
• Leadership Development: Engage in best-in-class leadership training provided by Murphy USA, preparing for potential career advancement within the company, including progression to Store Manager.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level Management: This position is designed as an entry point into management. No prior management experience is required, as Murphy USA provides comprehensive, best-in-class leadership training to all Assistant Managers.
• Experience: Essential Qualifications: Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to fulfill role responsibilities.
• Skills:
• Customer Service Acumen: Ability to effectively interact with customers and address their needs.
• Cash Register Operations: Proficiency or readiness to learn in processing sales and handling cash accurately.
• Merchandise Presentation: Capability to maintain organized and well-stocked store shelves.
• Store Operations Support: Readiness to assist with various daily tasks crucial to store functionality.
• Age Requirement: Eligibility: Must meet state-specific age requirements: 18+ years of age, 19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky, and 21 in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Utah.
