Assistant Operations Manager | SBM Management Services, LP

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at SBM Management Services, LP, located in a client facility after an initial 8-week training period which may require relocation. SBM Management Services is a multi-million-dollar business within the facilities industry. This role is crucial for assisting with the coordination and direction of operations to fulfill contractual responsibilities, ensuring seamless service delivery and client satisfaction. The Assistant Operations Manager will contribute to high-level managerial and supervisory functions.

• Pay: $60000–$70000 yearly
• Team: Reports to a higher-level manager and directly supervises operational staff.
• Mission: To assist in coordinating and directing facilities operations to ensure contractual responsibilities are met for SBM’s customers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Management: Coordinate and direct operational activities to fulfill contractual responsibilities between SBM and its customers, including necessary planning and budgeting.
• Schedule Development: Develop and prepare work schedules for service personnel, assigning them to routes to ensure adequate service delivery.
• Program Compliance: Inspect and evaluate establishments to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and service programs.
• Resource and Vendor Management: Assist with inventorying supplies and equipment, investigate improved methods, and establish and maintain contact with contractors.
• Policy Implementation: Implement and execute company policies and goals, ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum A.A. Degree in Business Management or a related field; suitable for a managerial career level in facilities operations.
• Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This includes proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities; knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, compounds, and their safe use; customer service, problem-solving, time management, and planning capabilities.
• Bonus: CPR/AED/First Aid certification, bilingual proficiency, a valid driver’s license (may be required), and forklift certification (may be required) are all considered advantageous.
