This role is at Chick-fil-A Western Center Blvd. The Assistant Manager is crucial for ensuring the smooth daily operations of Fresh Value, supporting staff across the sales floor and managing essential administrative duties. This position provides vital support to the Store Manager and Co-Manager, directly contributing to the store’s overall efficiency and the consistent delivery of positive customer experiences. The Assistant Manager plays a key part in upholding high operational standards, from product presentation to store cleanliness and safety.

• Team: Provides direct support to the Store Manager and Co-Manager, and is responsible for overseeing staff assignments and managing front-end operations in the absence of other leadership.
• Mission: To ensure consistent, efficient, and pleasant daily operations for Fresh Value and to effectively resolve customer service issues, complaints, and requests.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversee Store Operations: Take charge of the daily workflow of the store when the Store Manager is absent, ensuring efficient operations by effectively assigning staff to various tasks and areas.
• Support Management Team: Continuously assist the management team by diligently completing all assigned office tasks and paperwork, contributing to the administrative efficiency of the store.
• Manage Front-End Functions: Lead and manage the front-end operations, including customer checkout and service areas, particularly in the absence of the designated Front-End Manager.
• Ensure Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver consistent, efficient, and pleasant customer experiences for all patrons of Fresh Value, proactively resolving any customer service issues, complaints, or requests as they arise.
• Maintain Store Appearance and Stock: Ensure that all Ad planner items are properly displayed and that surveyed product is readily available on the sales floor, while actively maintaining the overall safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of the store environment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This managerial career level requires candidates to possess a High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification. Core domain knowledge should be rooted in retail management, with a distinct preference for experience gained within the grocery sector.
• Experience: Candidates must bring at least one year of hands-on experience in retail management, demonstrating a clear history of increasing levels of responsibility within previous roles.
• Skills: The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional customer service and managerial abilities, complemented by excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential, alongside the proven ability to prioritize various tasks effectively and to delegate responsibilities appropriately to staff members.
