Assistant General Manager | CLEAR

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at CLEAR, located in Australia. CLEAR is building the secure identity company of the future, with a mission to make experiences safer and easier, both physically and digitally, for its more than 38 million Members and growing network of partners. This role is crucial for leading and driving the daily operations of a CLEAR location, ensuring team members are accountable for delivering exceptional security and customer service experiences while continuously sharing the CLEAR story. The Assistant General Manager will oversee all hourly and salaried team members and will be responsible for all administrative and leadership functions to maintain a smooth and efficient operation.

• Team: Leads a team of Ambassadors and Managers, overseeing all hourly and salaried team members at a CLEAR location.
• Mission: To lead and drive the daily operations of the location, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring exceptional security and customer service experiences.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Operations: Drive the day-to-day operations of a team of Ambassadors and Managers who utilize CLEAR technology to perform duties related to airport security, customer service, and sales.
• Drive Business: Serve as the business owner for the airport location, responsible for driving overall execution to achieve established Key Performance Indicators and metrics.
• Cultivate Talent: Hire, develop, and sustain a diverse team of talent who successfully and consistently deliver on CLEAR’s objectives for security, service, and sales.
• Manage Performance: Drive employee engagement and foster accountability among team members, including performance managing both salaried and hourly staff with ongoing evaluations.
• Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with TSA, airline, and airport partners, addressing their needs and inquiries in a timely manner.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Managerial level, with at least 5 years of leadership experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, and customer-facing environment such as retail, restaurants, hospitality, or rental cars.
• Experience: Prior experience is required in managing both salaried and hourly employees, coupled with a proven track record of reviewing and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regularly.
• Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong leadership and organizational capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in an ever-changing environment.
• Bonus: Availability to work a non-traditional schedule, which includes weekends, holidays, early mornings, and/or evenings, is preferred for this role.
