This role provides championship-caliber support to the recruiting efforts for Fighting Illini Football, ensuring efficiency and quality in attracting future student-athletes and promoting a life-changing experience.

• Team: Reports to the head coach, chief of staff, or general manager within the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics, collaborating closely with the General Manager.
• Mission: Coordinate logistics, communication, and financial aspects of football recruiting to attract prospective student-athletes and enhance program efficiency.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Travel Coordination: Plan and coordinate all logistical arrangements for football coach recruiting travel, including visits to high schools, practices, competitions, and in-home meetings, ensuring efficiency and timely execution.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage directly with prospective student-athletes, their families, school administrators, and coaches, providing details on recruiting visits and cultivating meaningful relationships.
• On-Campus Event Support: Assist with the coordination of official and unofficial on-campus recruiting visits, support game-day recruiting operations, and involve local community partners in events.
• Data Management: Manage comprehensive recruiting databases and maintain meticulous records of prospect evaluations, communications, and all related recruiting activities for high school, junior college, and transfer portal recruits.
• Financial Operations: Help maintain and organize assigned expense records of the football program, assisting in reimbursements and reconciliation within the Emburse and Purchasing Card Application systems.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration, Communication, or a closely related field.
• Experience: At least one year of experience working with a collegiate or professional football program, either as a player or personnel.
• Skills: Maintain knowledge of and compliance with specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules; demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to the student-athlete experience; possess flexibility for varied scheduling, including nights, weekends, holidays, and team travel.
• Bonus: Prior football administrative recruiting experience.
