ASSISTANT DIRECTOR ADMINISTRATIVE | Montefiore Medical Center

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Montefiore Medical Center, located in Bronx, New York. Montefiore Medical Center is a healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing medical services. This role is crucial for supporting the operational oversight and strategic goals of the Endoscopy Service Line, ensuring compliance, driving daily change management, and leading critical projects such as the Colorectal Cancer Prevention Program. The Assistant Director will contribute significantly to maintaining high standards of care and operational efficiency across multiple Montefiore locations.

• Team: Supports the Director of the Endoscopy Service Line; Directly supervises the Operations Manager and all front-end operations.
• Mission: Oversee the operations and goals of the Endoscopy Service Line and manage the Colorectal Cancer Prevention Program, ensuring compliance, project execution, and process improvement.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Visio, Planner, MS Excel, Microsoft Office

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Director: Assist the director in overseeing the operations and goals of the Endoscopy Service Line across MMC, MMV, NYGI, and AEC.
• Supervise Operations: Directly supervise the Operations Manager and all front-end operations, coordinating daily activities and monitoring the achievement of objectives.
• Manage Projects: Develop comprehensive project plans, establish key milestones, and manage project teams for initiatives including the Colorectal Cancer Prevention Program, new system implementations, and process improvement.
• Drive Change & Compliance: Implement day-to-day change management activities, provide appropriate support and supervision, and ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Mitigate Risks & Communicate: Identify potential project risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, proactively address and resolve issues, and foster effective communication with team members and stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor degree required.
• Experience: 5 years of supervisory experience required.
• Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, strong project management skills, skilled in reporting and analysis using MS Excel, ability to present data in a clear and concise manner, and understanding of laws and ethics related to health insurance, medical billing, and HIPAA.
• Bonus: GI, Ambulatory, & inpatient experience strongly preferred, Faculty Practice management experience strongly preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Visio and Planner a plus.
