Duties

As an Assistant Manager at Club Stewart, you will assist management with the operation of the facility. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assisting management with the operation of the facility in accordance with established procedures.
  • Issuing, receiving, and controlling cash receipts and change funds.
  • Verifying cash count of funds turned in by cashiers and determining cash shortages or overages.
  • Assuring only authorized patrons utilize the facilities.
  • Submitting daily reports of operations.
  • Assisting in setting up parties according to the party plan.
  • Potentially assisting bartenders in setting up bars and/or cashier’s bags.
  • Completing Daily Activity Reports.
  • Completing fire safety checks and securing the facility.
  • Monitoring inventories, placing, and receiving food and beverage orders using Food Track or similar software.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

Candidates must meet the following conditions of employment:

  • Direct Deposit and a Social Security Card are required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Meet state/local age requirements (21 – required age) for the serving of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment (PROJECTED APPOINTMENT DATE: 04/16/2026).
  • May be required to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less) and should clearly demonstrate the applicant’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following:

  • Progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody, or other processing of cash items.
  • Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages, the applicant must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment.
  • Skill in providing customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered “Highly Preferred” or “Best Qualified”:

  • Knowledge and ability to perform bar service and bartending experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with purchasing requirements (e.g., knowledge and experience using a government credit card, understanding how to purchase liquor, beer, and wine, a working knowledge of BPA’s (Blanket Purchasing Agreements), and understanding the storage and inventory processes of all alcohol).
  • Knowledge and experience with the RECTRAC and POS systems.

Area of Consideration

This job is open to candidates who are located in the local commuting area (within a 50-mile radius of Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield). Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.

Allowances and Differentials

This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
