What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Processing: Accurately process incoming invoices and outgoing expenses, while assisting with both accounts payable and receivable to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Record Maintenance: Meticulously maintain accurate financial records and perform regular bank statement reconciliations to ensure data integrity and transparency.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare basic financial reports and ensure all financial documentation is properly organized and stored for easy access and compliance.
• Closing Activities: Support the finance team during month-end and year-end closing activities, contributing to timely and accurate financial statements.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, fostering greater efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Foundational accounting education (coursework, degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is preferred) with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
• Experience: Prior experience in an accounting, finance, or administrative support role is an advantage.
• Skills: Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and strong Excel/Spreadsheet skills for data entry and analysis; exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling; effective written and verbal communication for remote collaboration; ability to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines.
• Bonus: Understanding of basic tax concepts and compliance requirements.
