Assistant Account Executive | X&
The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at X&, located in El Segundo, CA. X& Business Management is the business-management arm of X&, dedicated to helping high-net-worth clients such as entertainers, athletes, and founders manage their financial lives across multiple entities. This role is crucial for supporting Account Executives and Business Managers in the day-to-day accounting and administration of client accounts, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely completion of financial tasks. You will develop valuable business-management experience within a firm known for its emphasis on accuracy, responsiveness, and discretion.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Management: Use AgilLink to enter, code, and maintain client transactions and all supporting documentation.
• Payment Processing: Process accounts payable and receivable, prepare payment requests, track necessary approvals, and follow up on any outstanding items.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts, investigate any discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records across client entities.
• Vendor Administration: Maintain current vendor information, collect W-9s, and assist with the annual preparation of 1099 forms.
• Reporting Support: Support month-end close processes, prepare journal entries, assist with cash-flow schedules, and contribute to financial reporting under the direction of the account team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Practical bookkeeping or accounting experience is required, including experience with accounts payable and bank or credit-card reconciliations.
• Experience: Hands-on experience using AgilLink in an accounting or business-management role, including the ability to describe specific workflows performed within AgilLink.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to organize work across multiple accounts and deadlines, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, clear professional communication, reliable follow-through, and sound judgment with confidential client information.
• Bonus: Experience at a business-management firm or family office, particularly serving entertainment, sports, or other high-net-worth clients. Familiarity with multi-entity accounting, loan-out companies, payroll support, 1099s, or tax-package preparation is also preferred.
