Job Summary

The Application Development Summer Associate will support the Application Development team on active and upcoming initiatives that impact the business. This hands-on role provides exposure to the full application development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, development, automation, and documentation. By the end of the summer, the associate will have a strong foundational understanding of how a collaborative development team operates in a real-world business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data comparison and analysis to support application enhancements and business decisions.
  • Partner with team members to gather business requirements and translate them into clear technical requirements.
  • Research and evaluate market-based software solutions versus in-house development options; present findings and recommendations.
  • Support the use of automation tools to streamline, optimize, and document workflows.
  • Assist in coding, testing, and documenting new features and enhancements to existing applications based on technical specifications.
  • Contribute to process documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Complete additional projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or part of a technology training program or bootcamp.
  • Foundational understanding of programming concepts; exposure to .NET is preferred.
  • Familiarity with source control concepts and code documentation best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Energetic, curious, and eager to learn while contributing in a collaborative team environment.
  • Reliable transportation required.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Location: Warrensville Heights, OH (Corporate Office)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (40 hours per week)
  • Hybrid Schedule: Requiring three (3) days in the office and two (2) days working from home.
