Infrastructure Investments Analyst | GCM Grosvenor

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at GCM Grosvenor, located in New York, NY. GCM Grosvenor is a global alternative asset management solutions provider managing approximately $91 billion across diverse investment strategies. With over 54 years specializing in alternatives and a team of around 560 professionals, the firm serves a global client base. This role is vital for evaluating, executing, and monitoring investments within the infrastructure vertical, directly contributing to the firm’s strategic growth and investment performance.

• Mission: Involved in all aspects of fund and other investments within the infrastructure vertical, covering primary funds, co-investments, and secondaries.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Conduct due diligence on infrastructure fund opportunities to support investment evaluation.
• Present: Assist with preparing and presenting investment recommendations and due diligence findings to internal committees.
• Monitor: Maintain involvement with fund investments and portfolio companies, including regular internal valuations and performance monitoring.
• Support: Contribute to client relationship management efforts, ongoing portfolio management, and reporting requirements.
• Manage: Track and prioritize investment opportunities, maintain the transaction pipeline, and support fundraising efforts for the infrastructure team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field with superior academic performance; demonstrated interest in and knowledge of the investment industry, particularly alternative investments.
• Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience in private equity, asset management, investment banking, or an investment-related role.
• Skills: Strong communication skills to articulate thoughts clearly to clients and staff; superior organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to manage tasks independently; strong attention to detail, ensuring quality and accuracy in work products; ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities while upholding the highest ethical standards.
• Bonus: Experience with spreadsheets and financial databases such as Capital IQ, Preqin, Burgiss, and DealCloud; familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
