Analyst, Private Assets Product Management | MSCI Inc.

• Team: GP Solutions team, focusing on general partners (private equity, growth equity, venture, and private credit managers).
• Mission: Support the GP Solutions team in developing data- and AI-enabled product solutions for private markets by conducting research, aiding product strategy, and translating client workflows.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Conduct market and competitive research to identify emerging trends and needs across GP workflows, synthesizing findings for product strategy discussions.
• Support client discovery sessions by preparing materials, capturing insights, and distilling key takeaways from conversations with GPs and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in developing product documentation, including user stories, requirements briefs, and feature specifications, to guide engineering and design teams.
• Help track and prioritize incoming product requests from Client Coverage and Sales, supporting structured intake and business-as-usual governance processes.
• Monitor post-launch product performance by gathering and organizing data on adoption, usage, and client feedback to inform future product iterations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, computer science, or a related field. This is an entry-level role.
• Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience; internship experience in investment management, financial services, consulting, or technology is a plus.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Bonus: Exposure to private equity, venture capital, private credit, or alternative investments; familiarity with product management concepts, agile methodologies, or software development workflows; experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau) or product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence); demonstrated interest in how technology and data can transform investment decision-making.
