Analyst, Corporate Strategy | CAE

The Analyst, Corporate Strategy will identify, analyze, articulate, and advance CAE’s strategy, ensuring both clients and employees are ready for the moments that matter by turning ideas into reality and making a significant difference.

• Team: Reports to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Director of Global Strategy, and Director of Global Strategy and Special Projects.
• Mission: Support the identification, analysis, articulation, and advancement of CAE’s strategy through strategic planning, the OKR program, and critical special projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Planning: Support and lead various aspects of CAE’s strategic planning process, including conducting thorough market and competitive research and detailed analysis of key business performance indicators. This involves collaborating with cross-company partners to design and ensure the alignment of strategic plans and initiatives across the organization.
• Strategic Communications: Create and support the preparation and presentation of strategic materials for all levels of the company, including the executive management team and the Board of Directors. Deliverables will encompass annual workshop materials, quarterly reports for the Board, executive presentations, and annual board strategic meeting materials.
• Special Projects & Risk Management: Collaborate across divisions and functions to conduct deep-dive assessments of critical business opportunities and risks, typically at a cadence of about one project per month. Responsibilities include comprehensive research, financial and market modeling, company and operational analysis, and preparing materials for executive audiences. Additionally, this role will support enterprise-level risk monitoring, workshops, and executive brief-outs to defend against emerging geopolitical, financial, physical, and competitive risks, ensuring linkage between risk management and strategy.
• OKR Program Management: Support the ongoing maturation, rollout, and advancement of CAE’s Objectives and Key Results (OKR) program. This includes identifying and crafting executive OKRs and providing continuous support, coaching, and governance for the broader organization to ensure strategic alignment and success.
• Internal Initiatives & Insights: Support and lead aspects of multiple ongoing internal initiatives, such as leadership onboarding, talent development, and internal communications, by contributing to the design and execution of workshops, offsites, and strategic briefings. This role also involves regular reporting of competitive intelligence, macroeconomic, and geopolitical developments, and supporting the Incubation organization in advancing nascent technologies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, providing a foundational understanding for strategic analysis and corporate planning.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar strategic or analytical role, demonstrating practical application of strategic frameworks and methodologies.
• Skills: Possess a strategic and analytical mindset, with a demonstrated ability to understand, analyze, and clearly explain complex frameworks and business challenges.
• Bonus: Bilingual in French and English, strong interpersonal and executive presentation skills, proven capacity and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, a results-oriented self-starter, intellectually curious, positive attitude, pragmatic, and the ability to build relationships across all corporate and operational levels of the organization. Furthermore, the capacity to synthesize complex data into executive-ready insights and comfort operating in high-ambiguity, high-impact environments are highly valued.
