About the Role:

You will work closely with FTI’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and his AI Technologist, receiving direct mentorship and guidance from senior technical leaders. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models and analytics solutions.
• Support data preparation, feature engineering, and model training using modern ML frameworks.
• Contribute to MLOps workflows, including testing, validation, and automation for model deployment.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate AI/ML capabilities into software systems and applications.

Required Qualifications:

Academic & Technical Skills:

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Sophomore or Junior with a graduation date later than Spring 2026.
• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python (additional languages such as Java or C++ are a plus).
• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and a strong willingness to learn advanced techniques.

Relevant Academic Background or Prior Experience:

Candidates should have taken a course or had a previous internship providing exposure to the following:

• Artificial Intelligence: Introduction to classic AI search, reasoning, basic neural methods, and probabilistic reasoning.
• Introduction to Data Science: Exposure to data acquisition, cleansing, manipulation, and machine learning toolkits using Python and SQL, with hands-on data work.
• Data Pipelines & ML Lifecycle: Exposure to data pipelines, feature extraction, model evaluation, visualization, and ethical considerations using real datasets and Python toolkits.
• AI/ML Frameworks: Exposure to popular AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

Compensation:

This position pays $26.48/hr in Colorado. FTI has a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different rate for interns in other states.
