About The Role
This internship presents a truly unique and impactful opportunity to collaborate directly with AEC’s Director of Global Business Development & Account Management, a pivotal leader at the forefront of driving strategic growth across diverse global markets. The selected intern will be instrumental in a critical initiative focused on optimizing our core business processes. You will play a hands-on, high-impact role in thoroughly evaluating current business development and sales workflows, meticulously identifying opportunities for significant automation, and strategically integrating cutting-edge AI-driven solutions. This effort is aimed at fundamentally enhancing operational efficiency, elevating customer engagement, and ultimately boosting profitability across the organization.
This position is ideally suited for a tech-savvy and business-minded student who is eager to apply theoretical knowledge of AI and business principles in a real-world, corporate setting. You will contribute to tangible outcomes and gain invaluable experience at the intersection of technology and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- In-depth Workflow Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing business development, account management, and sales workflows to pinpoint critical inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and prime opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Actively collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams, including Contracts, Customer Support, and Site General Managers, to ensure that all AI initiatives are meticulously aligned with overarching business objectives and strategic goals.
- Strategic AI Research & Reporting: Proactively research, evaluate, and report on emerging AI applications, tools, and platforms specifically relevant to enhancing sales, marketing, and customer relationship management strategies within our industry.
- Technical AI Resource & Support: Serve as a primary technical resource for AI-related tools and platforms, providing expert guidance and support to the broader business development team, fostering a culture of technological adoption.
- Data-Backed Recommendations & Presentation: Prepare compelling presentations of findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, leveraging clear communication, robust data-backed analysis, and actionable insights.
- Strategic Involvement & Special Projects: Actively shadow key meetings, participate in high-level strategic discussions, and take ownership of special projects as assigned, gaining exposure to critical decision-making processes and contributing directly to strategic initiatives.
Shift & Schedule Information
- Shift: Day Shift
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration or a closely related quantitative and business-oriented field.
- Academic Standing: Completion of a minimum of 2–3 years of college coursework (junior or senior standing preferred).
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (complex formulas, data analysis), Word, Teams, PowerPoint (creating professional presentations), and demonstrated expertise in Windows OS.
- AI Acumen: A strong understanding of AI technologies, various AI platforms, machine learning concepts, and their practical business applications in enhancing efficiency and driving growth.
- Personal Attributes: A highly motivated self-starter with an inherent passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and the ability to proactively identify and solve complex problems.
