Aerospace Systems & Defense Intern/Co-op | GE Aerospace
The Tone:
This is a Full-time internship at GE Aerospace, located in Dayton, OH and Bohemia, NY. • Mission: Help design, develop, and support aerospace systems for commercial and military applications throughout their service life.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and analyze gas turbine engine components, electrical power systems, mechanical systems, or computing systems.
• Develop and test engine controls, navigation, guidance, or vehicle health and data management systems.
• Write software requirements for mission systems or platform systems integration projects.
• Perform simulation and software testing for various aerospace systems and components.
• Support product and program initiatives through tool development and ongoing assistance.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently attending a full-time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. US Citizenship is required.
• Experience: Prior GE Aerospace intern experience is required.
• Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language, and strong knowledge of computer and Microsoft products.
