Administrative Fellow | Craig Hospital

The Tone:
This is a full-time fellowship at Craig Hospital, located in Englewood, CO. Craig Hospital is a nationally recognized, mission-driven community dedicated to helping patients rebuild their lives after spinal cord and brain injuries. This two-year administrative fellowship offers a unique opportunity for emerging healthcare leaders to gain immersive experience, accelerate their careers, and make a meaningful impact by contributing to the hospital’s strategic priorities and patient-centered care.

• Pay: $30–$44 hourly
• Team: Reports to the Vice President of People and Culture; collaborates with leaders across the hospital.
• Mission: Provides valuable exposure to healthcare leadership through participation in meetings, strategic initiatives, project management activities, and department rotations to support Craig Hospital’s strategic priorities.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office applications

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Leadership: Work collaboratively with executive and senior leadership to implement and support projects related to Craig Hospital’s strategic priorities.
• Operational Improvement: Lead and contribute to projects that improve operations, support departments, and advance organizational goals.
• Strategic Participation: Participate in organizational meetings, committees, and leadership discussions, effectively communicating outcomes and recommendations.
• Competency Development: Develop healthcare management and leadership competencies through rotational experiences and project work.
• System Enhancement: Identify opportunities for operational improvement, efficiency, and systems enhancement across the organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or a related field; OR current graduate-level degree candidate who will complete their degree prior to the fellowship start date. This is an entry-level role for recent graduates.
• Experience: External candidates must be within 12 months of graduation from their master’s degree program. Internal candidates must be within three years of graduation from their master’s degree program.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Bonus: Internship, fellowship, employment, practicum, or other experiential learning within healthcare; exposure to healthcare operations, administration, strategy, quality improvement, or patient experience initiatives; leadership experience through graduate programs, student organizations, employment, volunteer work, or community involvement; demonstrated experience managing projects, leading initiatives, or coordinating teams.
