Administrative Assistant Intern | Casa de la Familia
The Tone:
This is a non-paid administrative assistant internship at Casa de la Familia, located in Orange County, CA. Casa de la Familia provides specialized treatment for post-traumatic, anxiety, and depressive disorders through crisis intervention and long-term individual and family therapy. The organization focuses on delivering culturally appropriate and relevant services to underserved and underrepresented minority populations. This role is vital in providing essential administrative support to case managers, enabling the organization to effectively deliver crucial mental health services to the community.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Communication: Act as the primary point of contact by answering and directing phone calls for internal and external clients.
• Scheduling: Organize and schedule appointments, plan meetings, and accurately take detailed minutes.
• Documentation: Prepare and distribute various communications including emails, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, forms, and regularly scheduled reports.
• Office Management: Update and maintain office policies, procedures, contact lists, and manage office supply orders.
• Event Support: Provide administrative and logistical support before and during community mental health events, researching and maintaining event lists.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate student interested in completing internship hours; Early Career level.
• Experience: Ability to commit to 6 months of service, with a minimum of 10 hours per week.
• Skills: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish; proficiency in MS Office Suite, with particular emphasis on MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office administrative assistant; solid knowledge of office management systems and procedures; working knowledge of essential office equipment.
