Accounts Receivable Specialist | DLA Piper

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at DLA Piper, available in multiple office locations across the US. The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Hybrid work schedule
• Location: Hybrid Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Miami, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Reston, Short Hills, Washington DC, or Wilmington office
• Pay: $26.59–$33.28 hourly
• Mission: To support the Accounts Receivable department in researching and processing various cash applications and other credit accounting.
• Tech Stack: Aderant, ServiceNow, Microsoft Excel, 10-key

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process: Manage the application of cash receipts within the Aderant system.
• Research: Investigate pending cash receipts and related items that are unidentified and unapplied.
• Respond: Address and resolve Accounts Receivable related requests and inquiries from internal groups like billing and collections.
• Resolve: Handle and close support tickets submitted through ServiceNow.
• Collaborate: Assist with financial adjustments, including write-offs, reversals, and reallocations, in close coordination with the Collections department to apply pending and unallocated payments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or GED with knowledge of general accounting procedures.
• Experience: 2 years of experience as an AR Specialist.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, 10-key operation, attention to detail and accuracy, and information management skills.
• Bonus: Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, a professional demeanor, and a capacity for leadership, along with the ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively.
