Associate, Accounts Receivable | Newmark

This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely tenant Accounts Receivable transactions, maintaining supporting documentation, and communicating with appropriate parties to keep accounts current.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Property Management Interaction: Interact with Property Management teams to ensure tenant adjustments and cash receipts are complete and accurate.
• Balance Entry: Enter beginning Accounts Receivable balances for new transitions into the accounting system.
• Cash Processing: Review bank details, then enter and post cash receipts.
• Reconciliation and Statements: Perform cash reconciliations and prepare monthly tenant statements.
• Research: Research tenant charges and payment applications to resolve issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Demonstrated understanding of fundamental accounting principles related to Accounts Receivable and a strong aptitude for accurate data entry.
• Experience: No specific years required. Preference for experience with real estate accounting software such as MRI, Yardi, SAP, or Oracle.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, ability to collaborate effectively in a team, customer service oriented, capable of analyzing and solving problems, and ability to review and enter data accurately. Fluent English is required.
• Bonus: Experience with MRI, Yardi, SAP, or Oracle.
