What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Processing: Review and process a variety of invoices from vendors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Expense Management: Manage and process employee expense reports, verifying compliance with company policies and preparing them for payment.
• Accounting Entries: Prepare and accurately post accounting journal entries to the general ledger, contributing to precise financial record-keeping.
• Payroll Support: Assist with payroll data entry, carefully verify time and compensation details, and ensure accurate and timely payments to all staff members.
• Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile various accounts, help investigate and resolve financial discrepancies, and diligently maintain organized financial records in compliance with internal policies and regulations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Foundational knowledge in Finance and Accounting principles to support accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
• Experience: Prior experience in accounts payable, payroll, or general bookkeeping is preferred. Demonstrated experience with Expense Reports and preparing Journal Entries (Accounting).
• Skills:
• Strong Finance and Accounting skills for precise financial operations and financial reporting.
• Solid Analytical Skills to effectively review financial data, identify discrepancies, and support account reconciliations.
• Robust attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills crucial for handling multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to coordinate professionally with staff and external vendors.
• Bonus: Proficiency with accounting or ERP software and common spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets). Familiarity with educational or nonprofit settings. An associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
