Accounting Specialist – Lease and Fixed Assets | Stefanini Group

The Tone:
This is a contract role at Stefanini Group, located in Bridgewater, NJ, with a hybrid schedule requiring 4 days onsite. Stefanini Group is a global provider of offshore, onshore, and nearshore outsourcing, IT digital consulting, systems integration, application, and strategic staffing services to Fortune 1000 enterprises worldwide. This role is crucial in assisting with the establishment and support of a global Lease and Fixed Asset Center of Excellence, contributing to a significant finance transformation project extending into 2027.

• Mission: To assist in establishing and supporting the global Lease and Fixed Asset Center of Excellence, ensuring accurate lease and fixed asset accounting processes during a major finance transformation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Establish COE Operations: Support the Lease and Fixed Asset Center of Excellence by transitioning regional transactional responsibilities, including updating lease accounting schedules, processing lease journal entries, and preparing reconciliations.
• Develop Operational Standards: Aid in creating standard operating procedure manuals and executing global controls that are transferring under the oversight of the Lease and Fixed Asset COE.
• Manage Lease Data & Systems: Assist with onboarding JLL for global lease abstraction and analyze accounting implications from updated data points within the CoStar system.
• Ensure Lease Accounting Accuracy: Potentially cover Manager’s duties by partnering with Legal, real estate, and payables teams for timely lease data maintenance in CoStar, reviewing accounting results, and providing technical guidance for complex lease transactions.
• Oversee Fixed Asset Lifecycle: Potentially cover Manager’s duties by ensuring accurate month-end close activities for assets, collaborating on impairment reviews, providing project spend reporting, and administering capital expenditure requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX regulations, understanding of global finance operating models, and end-to-end accounting processes.
• Experience: Working with global teams in various countries.
• Skills: Proficiency in SAP S/4, SAC, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CoStar; strong problem-solving, communication, analytical, and organizational skills; attention to detail and a passion for process improvement and automation.
• Bonus: Knowledge of IFRS.
