Accounting Specialist | HydraPak, LLC
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at HydraPak, LLC, located in Longmont, CO, with Fridays remote eligible. HydraPak creates innovative hydration gear for athletes, serving both direct consumers and major outdoor brands as an original equipment partner. This position serves as a vital member of the finance team, ensuring the integrity of financial data through meticulous record-keeping and proactive support. The role balances daily transactional tasks with month-end reconciliation and process improvement projects to drive departmental efficiency.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transactional Accounting: Execute full-cycle Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, including accurate cash receipt allocation and monitoring unresolved domestic account balances.
• Documentation & Support: Maintain an orderly digital filing system, verify accuracy of new and updated customer account information in the ERP, and manage vendor and customer inquiries via Zendesk.
• Operational Alignment: Work with customer service and fulfillment to accurately record and handle issues such as short-ships and returns, and pull weekly audits of open sales orders to confirm timely invoicing.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, assist the Manager with sales tax reporting and certificate of insurance requests, and gather documentation for audits.
• Process Improvement & Growth: Participate in departmental process improvement projects to automate manual workflows, establish positive working relationships with customers and vendors, and expand into broader accounting responsibilities as the company grows.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with knowledge and understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Skills: Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets), excellent communication (verbal and written), commitment to excellent customer service, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize workload to meet strict deadlines.
• Bonus: Manufacturing and Inventory accounting experience is a plus. Experience with software platforms such as Acumatica, SPS, ShipStation, Zendesk, and Shopify is desired.
