Accounting Operations Specialist | Contoro Robotics

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Contoro Robotics, located in Austin, TX. Contoro Robotics is an Austin-based company developing autonomous solutions for truck unloading and logistics operations, revolutionizing warehouse automation with cutting-edge robotics. This role is crucial for building the internal finance organization, supporting scalable operations, and maintaining accurate, timely financial information for a fast-growing startup. This individual will ensure reliable financial data is available for reporting and decision-making.

• Team: Corporate Operations (Finance Team) | Reports to Director of Finance
• Mission: This person maintains accurate day-to-day financial records, processes AP/AR, manages expenses, and tracks project costs to provide reliable financial information.
• Tech Stack: QuickBooks, Ramp, Excel, Google Sheets

What You’ll Actually Do
• Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and current financial records by recording, categorizing, and documenting company transactions in QuickBooks.
• Accounts Payable: Process and track vendor invoices, verify documentation and approvals, manage vendor records, and assist with preparing payments.
• Accounts Receivable: Support customer invoicing, track payments, manage AR records, and follow up on outstanding invoices to maintain accurate receivables.
• Expense Management: Categorize company expenses, review corporate card transactions and employee reimbursements for compliance, and obtain missing documentation.
• Project Cost Tracking: Track and assign expenses related to individual customer deployment projects, compare actual costs against budgets, and flag discrepancies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; Entry-Level career level; basic understanding of accounting principles, AP, and AR.
• Experience: 1–2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or related experience; required familiarity with QuickBooks.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to manage recurring tasks and meet deadlines, comfortable following up with employees and vendors.
• Bonus: Experience with Ramp or another expense-management platform; bilingual in Korean.
