Accounting Operations Intern 2027 | CNO Financial Group

This role is crucial as the intern will support critical daily accounting operations, contribute to quarterly reporting processes, and assist in month-end and quarterly closes, directly impacting the company’s robust financial foundation and operational excellence.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Documentation: Develop and facilitate documentation of key processes that support quarterly reporting and analysis.
• Daily Operations: Assist with various daily accounting operation tasks.
• Special Projects: Complete assigned special projects within the department.
• Financial Close: Assist with month-end and quarterly close procedures.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must be making progress towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline, qualifying this as an entry-level position.
• Experience: Applicants must be a rising junior or rising senior, with anticipated graduation dates between December 2027 and June 2029. The role requires availability to work 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks during the summer internship period. Candidates should possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States, as CNO Financial Group does not sponsor work visas for this role or future full-time employment.
• Skills: Required technical skills include experience with one or more of the following: Co-Pilot, Co-Pilot Studio, Power BI, Alteryx, Power Automate, VBA, Denodo, and the Microsoft 365 Ecosystem. A preferred candidate location is within the Central or Eastern US time zone, or a willingness to align working hours with these time zones.
• Bonus: Prior internship experience, the ability to balance education with a part-time job during the academic year, and active participation in university clubs are all preferred qualifications.
