The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (24 hours per week, Tuesday – Thursday, Late June – Mid July 2027)
• Location: In-person, Alexandria, VA
• Mission: Gain exposure and practical experience across diverse accounting services to prepare for an accounting career, with potential for future roles.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate in Training: Engage in structured training sessions designed to complement hands-on client work and build foundational skills.
• Conduct Client Work: Perform practical, hands-on tasks related to client engagements across various accounting services.
• Receive Mentorship: Benefit from continuous support and guidance through a dedicated mentor, a peer buddy, and a direct supervisor.
• Track Growth: Attend regular check-ins with supervisors and mentors to guide professional development and maximize the learning experience.
• Gain Service Exposure: Acquire broad exposure to key areas including Business Services (Tax), Accounting & Audit, Family Wealth Services, and Client Advisory Services (CAS).
The Must-Haves
• Background: Students who are currently pursuing either a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting. This is an early career opportunity designed for individuals building their foundation in the accounting field.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required for this internship role. Candidates should be prepared to apply academic knowledge in a professional accounting environment.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Possess strong analytical skills to approach complex financial information. Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
• Bonus: A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher in your accounting degree program. A positive, professional, and collaborative attitude when working within team settings and with clients.
