Accounting Intern – Summer 2027 | Scoular

This role is crucial for supporting Scoular’s accounting practices, internal controls, and tax processes, providing essential hands-on experience to future accounting professionals within an 11-week program focused on real-life business impact.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Corporate Accounting: Assist with general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes to support business decisions.
• Internal Controls: Participate in the documentation and testing of internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Tax Support: Contribute to the preparation of tax workpapers and assist with data gathering for federal, state, and local tax filings.
• Audit Preparation: Collaborate with the corporate accounting team in preparing audit schedules and supporting year-end close activities.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance the accuracy of financial reporting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: Experience leading in clubs, athletics, projects, or student government.
• Skills: Quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, conceptual, detail-oriented, adaptable, and accountable.
