INTERN – Accounting (Summer 2027) | Altec

The Tone:
This is an internship at Altec, located in Birmingham, AL. Altec is a privately held, family-owned company that manufactures products and services connecting people to power and communications globally, best known for lifting products like bucket trucks and cranes. This role offers an exciting opportunity for students to gain valuable industry experience and perform meaningful accounting work that directly adds value to the organization. Interns will receive coaching and participate in development programs to foster personal and professional growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Gain: Gain practical industry experience within Altec’s accounting operations.
• Perform: Perform meaningful accounting work that contributes value to the organization.
• Process: Work across a wide range of accounting areas, including financial, cost, lease, and rental accounting.
• Receive: Receive coaching and guidance from experienced accounting mentors.
• Participate: Participate in development programs designed to support long-term personal and professional success.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Current Accounting Major (sophomore or greater) or a recent graduate from an accredited four-year college or university with an Accounting degree.
• Experience: Available mid-May through August, working approximately 40 hours per week.
• Skills: Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Excel proficiency.
