Accounting Intern – Summer 2027 | SERVPRO

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at SERVPRO, located in Gallatin, Tennessee, running from May 24 through July 31, 2027. SERVPRO has been a trusted leader in fire and water cleanup, restoration, and other remediation services for over 50 years, supporting 2,200+ individually owned and operated franchises from its headquarters. This role matters as it provides hands-on experience, allowing the intern to develop a foundational understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls within a corporate setting. The intern will contribute to meaningful projects and learn how accounting supports key business decisions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End Close: Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Financial Reporting: Support the preparation and analysis of financial reports and schedules.
• Data Integrity: Review financial data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
• Core Accounting: Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management processes as needed.
• Special Projects: Participate in projects focused on process improvements, data analysis, and reporting enhancements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current Junior or Senior enrolled in college, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting or a related field. High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience required for this internship role.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
