This is an Accounting Intern position at Accelevation, located in Miamisburg, OH. This role supports the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial information, providing hands-on experience and contributing meaningfully to the organization’s financial success. • Mission: Support the integrity and accuracy of Accelevation’s financial information by assisting with transaction processing, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support activities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Expense System Administration: Support the company’s travel and expense reporting system, including reviewing reports for policy compliance and resolving discrepancies.
• Financial Record Reconciliation: Prepare general ledger account reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation and assist with journal entry preparation and processing.
• Month-End Close Support: Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring completion within established deadlines.
• Audit Preparation: Assist in preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation required for external auditors.
• Process Improvement: Aid in documenting accounting procedures, internal controls, and process improvements, collaborating on special projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position for individuals currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or who have recently graduated.
• Experience: High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential employee, customer, and financial information.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Bonus: Exposure to accounting coursework and a basic understanding of U.S. GAAP preferred, alongside an eagerness to learn accounting processes, systems, and best practices.
