Accounting Clerk (AR) | Life Care Centers of America

The Tone:
This is an Accounting Clerk (Accounts Receivable) role at Life Care Centers of America. Life Care Centers of America operates facilities in the post-acute care sector, providing comprehensive care services. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely financial operations related to billing and collections, which directly supports the company’s ability to provide high-quality patient care and maintain financial health. This position plays a key part in the financial administration of the facility, impacting both patient experience and operational efficiency.

The TL;DR

• Mission: To manage all billing, payment collection, and data in compliance with regulations and company standards for post-acute care facilities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Billing Management: Prepare and submit all billing, including Medicare A & B and private insurance, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Payment Processing: Record cash receipts accurately and timely, and accurately prepare bank deposits.
• Customer Relations: Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients while performing duties.
• Data Integrity: Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information.
• Operational Support: Understand and follow company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures, and assist in the evacuation of patients as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school graduate or equivalent with knowledge of administration practices, procedures, and relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines governing administration functions in a post-acute care facility.
• Experience: Prior bookkeeping experience, prior billing experience in a health-care setting, and data entry experience are preferred.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail, possesses the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action, and capable of functioning productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Bonus: Demonstrated ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the administration department.
