Assistant Accountant (San Antonio) | Turner Construction Company

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Billing Support: Assist the accountant in meeting client contractual requirements regarding billing and accounts receivable.
• Accounts Processing: Process vendor and subcontractor invoices for accounts payable, ensuring all applicable lien waivers, contracts, and insurance requirements are in place.
• Financial Close Assistance: Help complete the monthly close process, ensuring all client bills and project costs are accurately posted or accrued.
• Reporting Updates: Provide monthly updates on project assets and rentals for insurance documentation to the project team.
• Audit Coordination: Assist with all internal and external audit requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited program, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience, with general knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Experience: Proficiency with data entry, databases, and computer applications, including MS Office.
• Skills: Ability to research and resolve problems, learn quickly, meet deadlines, maintain high organization, detail orientation, and accuracy, and self-check work.
• Skills: Capability to work independently with some oversight and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Skills: Strong work ethic, integrity, dependability, adaptability, cooperativeness, and motivation to take on new responsibilities, coupled with professional written and verbal communication abilities.
