What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Review: Review daily accounting transactions, including cash receipts and disbursements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies for timely processing.
• Financial Recordkeeping: Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger account reconciliations, complete with supporting work papers, for approval and posting.
• Performance Analysis: Review and analyze budget variances to provide financial insights.
• Process Enhancement: Suggest and implement process improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing current processes and strengthening internal controls.
• Operational Support: Document and update accounting procedures and process standards, while also supporting internal teams and external partners with their accounting and operational needs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or comparable experience, coupled with fundamental knowledge of basic accounting principles, methods, theories, practices, and relevant equipment, including data processing programs.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in accounting utilizing Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret and apply company policies and procedures, including identifying and analyzing internal controls. This role demands strong communication skills to build effective working relationships, high proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, and a highly organized, detail-oriented approach to tasks.
• Bonus: Preferred candidates are enthusiastic learners with a desire to understand underlying processes, have experience with statutory accounting procedures, are able to work with minimal supervision, and are collaborative team members who work effectively across functions.
