Accountant I | V2X Inc
The Tone:
This is an Accountant I role at V2X Inc, located in the United States. V2X builds smart solutions designed to integrate physical and digital infrastructure from base to battlefield, providing successful mission support across the globe to improve security, streamline logistics, and enhance readiness. This position is a key contributor to the monthly close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and maintaining strong cash flows for a $4.5B company with 16,000 employees. The role supports finance staff, ensures timely responses to financial system requests, and assists with compliance audits.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Adhere to a tight general ledger month-end close process and accurately record monthly journal entries.
• Account Reconciliation: Prepare and generate critical month-end allocations and advices, maintaining and reconciling general ledger account balances monthly.
• Compliance Support: Assist with internal control evaluations and provide support to compliance and auditors through research and data mining.
• System Support: Respond to financial systems requests for reports, information support, training, and system enhancements in a timely and professional manner.
• Process Improvement: Focus on implementing process improvements over the general close and intra-company processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and comparable knowledge and job skills.
• Experience: Minimum 0-3 years of related experience with a strong knowledge of US GAAP. Must be a US citizen.
• Skills: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, excellent written and oral communication, organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and prioritize under time pressures.
• Bonus: CPA designation, knowledge of cost accounting principles, and government contracting experience.
