Staff Accountant | Ultimate Fighting Championship

The Tone:
This is a Staff Accountant role at Ultimate Fighting Championship, based in Las Vegas, NV. Ultimate Fighting Championship is part of TKO Group Holdings, Inc., a large, global sports and entertainment organization that owns iconic properties like UFC, WWE, and PBR. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of the organization’s operations, maintaining accurate accounting data in accordance with established policies and GAAP. The Staff Accountant contributes directly to the robust financial management supporting the company’s extensive global footprint and diverse business segments.

• Mission: To accurately perform accounting functions, maintain financial data, and ensure compliance with GAAP across various business segments.
• Tech Stack: JD Edwards, Hubble, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Data Maintenance: Maintain all accounting data according to department policies, procedures, and Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).
• General Ledger Management: Prepare accurate journal entries for the general ledger across assigned business segments and object accounts.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations for high-volume and high-dollar operating accounts.
• Revenue and Expense Recording: Record revenue for assigned contract-based business segments and manage event settlement revenues and expenses.
• Account Reconciliation and Reporting: Reconcile receivables, deferred revenue, and general ledger balance sheet accounts, and assist in preparing monthly reports for the Accounting Manager.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience, with a strong knowledge of standard accounting practices.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in finance and/or accounting, including practical experience with accounting systems.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms, high degree of proficiency with data entry functions, and excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Bonus: Advanced coursework in finance.
