What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Prepares financial statements, budgets, and internal reports using general ledger accounting software.
• Account Management: Analyzes and reconciles general ledger accounts, identifying unusual transactions and proposing resolutions for issues.
• Journal Entries: Creates and posts daily general ledger entries.
• Process Improvement: Maintains policy and procedure manuals and identifies opportunities to enhance processing efficiency for financial information.
• Audit Support: Gathers and prepares information in response to requests from internal and external auditors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, with a foundational understanding of fundamental accounting concepts, practices, and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accrual-based accounting.
• Experience: Requires 13 months to 3 years of general accounting experience, with two years preferred.
• Skills: Skilled in preparing financial statements, budgets, and management reports; analyzing and resolving balance discrepancies; preparing and posting journal entries; and operating standard office equipment and software applications.
• Bonus: Ability to identify and recommend changes to standard accounting procedures when required by specific situations, and to propose solutions to moderately complex accounting problems.
