• Team: NF Treasury Services Disbursements team, reports to Accounting Supervisor or Manager
• Mission: Perform varied accounting functions in the day-to-day maintenance of a general ledger and prepare basic financial reports and statements to ensure accurate, timely financial activity.
• Tech Stack: PMTS, imaging tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Payments: Support Nationwide Financial payment processing and approvals using PMTS and imaging tools.
• Maintain Records: Keep accounting records and the general ledger up-to-date and accurate.
• Generate Reports: Prepare and verify financial reports for management, regulators, auditors, and external partners.
• Resolve Issues: Communicate with internal and external partners to research discrepancies and answer reporting questions.
• Improve Processes: Recommend workflow, process, and technology improvements, and assist with new accounting or financial processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate coursework or a degree in accounting or finance is required, with an accounting major and degree preferred.
• Experience: Up to two years of related accounting experience.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, analytical ability, basic mathematical skills, excellent organization, and the ability to multitask to meet same-day deadlines.
• Bonus: Progress towards CPA, experience with PMTS/payment systems or an imaging system, or banking-access experience.
