This position is for an Account Director who will act as a trusted adviser within the Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment, relentlessly focused on delivering value and securing long-term commitments across LinkedIn’s Talent and Learning solutions.

• Mission: Own a defined book of business, driving renewals and expansion for LinkedIn’s Talent and Learning solutions within the SMB segment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Account Management: Discipline in territory and account planning, accurate forecasting, and consistent quota attainment, applying business acumen to consider economic, industry, and company factors with a customer-centric lens.
• Customer Relationship & Value: Research customer businesses to prepare thoughtful questions and insights, asking layered, open-ended questions to understand objectives and challenges, thereby building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across their organization.
• Solution-Oriented Sales: Lead with solutions over products, making recommendations aligned to customer objectives and driving customer decision-making by achieving a shared vision that ties all stakeholders together.
• Commercial Acumen & Growth: Think commercially when crafting and negotiating agreements, use data and insights to support investment recommendations or overcome objections, and proactively identify opportunities to drive greater customer value and growth within your existing book of business.
• Churn Mitigation & Collaboration: Proactively mitigate churn risk through a smart, customer-centric approach, engaging customers to confirm value and adapting strategy for optimal ROI, while also ensuring joint accountability with cross-functional teams for optimal customer success.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Director level role. A BA/BS degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years of applicable sales experience, specifically in a closing role that blends hunting and farming within an existing customer base.
• Skills: Account Management, Renewal Retention, Territory Planning, Communication, Negotiation, Forecasting.
• Bonus: Experience with HR software, SaaS opportunities, Dynamics/D365 platform, or selling IT solutions.
