Public Relations Account Coordinator | Perowne International

Perowne International is seeking an Account Coordinator to join its growing team of publicists dedicated to supporting luxury travel clients. This role is crucial for assisting client teams in executing public relations plans and managing media relations, contributing to the success of high-profile international accounts.

• Team: Supporting client teams for luxury travel clients; reports to Account Supervisor.
• Mission: To support client teams by responding to requests, monitoring media, pitching media, and assisting in the execution of public relations plans.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Account Management: Compile weekly and monthly clip books, flash reports, and status reports, while also drafting meeting agendas and attending ongoing client meetings.
• Client Engagement: Act as a day-to-day client contact, proactively communicating relevant updates and responding to ongoing client requests with Account Supervisor approval, and providing input in client meetings.
• Media Relations: Conduct proactive and reactive media pitching, draft press releases and pitches, create targeted media lists, and arrange and participate in media appointments and press trips.
• Agency Contribution: Attend and provide constructive input in staff meetings, participate in agency brainstorms, act as an agency representative at various industry events, and contribute to new business pitches.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience: Relevant internship experience or one year of experience in public relations. Experience ideally gained within a PR agency.
• Skills: Proactive media pitching, media monitoring, social media channel understanding, drafting press releases and pitches, creating targeted media lists, and client communication.
