2027 Accelerated Development Program – Accounting & Finance | Trane Technologies

The Tone:
This is a full-time accelerated development program, with rotations across various US cities including Pueblo, CO, Tyler, TX, Panama City, FL, Columbia, SC, Grand Rapids, MI, Greenville, SC, and the US Corporate Headquarters in Davidson, NC. Trane Technologies is a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable, and efficient climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation through its Trane® and Thermo King businesses. This program is designed for recent college graduates to gain challenging assignments, leadership training, and valuable exposure to senior leaders, building diverse skill sets and a strong foundation for a successful and fulfilling career. You will contribute to Trane Technologies’ core mission of putting the planet first by driving sustainable business practices in finance and accounting.

• Pay: $71000 yearly
• Mission: Develop a strong foundation in corporate finance and accounting to support Trane Technologies’ sustainable business objectives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop Financial Expertise: Build a strong foundation in core corporate finance and accounting concepts, including budgeting, variance analysis, and cost/benefit analysis, through strategically chosen assignments.
• Manage Financial Processes: Implement and maintain sound financial processes, policies, and controls, utilizing continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Perform Cost Accounting: Gain hands-on experience in cost accounting practices and financial controls within diverse manufacturing plant environments, such as Pueblo, CO or Tyler, TX.
• Support Financial Planning: Contribute to financial planning and analysis activities at the corporate level in Davidson, NC, engaging in business partnership and acumen.
• Ensure Compliance: Participate in audit and compliance activities, also at the US Corporate Headquarters in Davidson, NC, to evaluate financial accuracy and strengthen controls.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Recent college graduate pursuing a BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related degree, or an MS in Accounting.
• Experience: At least one degree-related internship or six months of related work experience; demonstrated leadership skills through two examples (e.g., school club officer, sports team captain).
• Skills: Foundational understanding of budgeting, variance analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and cost accounting; capability to identify, implement, and manage sound financial processes and controls; proficiency in utilizing financial systems and tools for decision-making; geographic flexibility for multiple rotation assignments across different US locations.
• Bonus: Overall GPA of 3.0 or above; U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future; ability to adapt quickly to new business circumstances and proactively seek learning opportunities; strong collaboration skills to work effectively with others.
