The Staff Accountant I plays a foundational role, executing day-to-day fieldwork on client accounting and auditing engagements. • Mission: Performs the majority of the day-to-day fieldwork on client accounting and auditing engagements, and certain tax engagements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Procedures: Executes various audit, review, compilation, or accounting procedures under direct supervision.
• Financial Statements: Prepares financial statements for review.
• Account Reconciliation: Prepares and reconciles account schedules as required.
• Inventory Observation: Performs year-end inventory observations.
• Client Communication: Communicates with clients to gather needed information or clarify issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant field, required for this entry-level role.
• Experience: Entry-level career experience in accounting or finance disciplines.
• Skills: Proficient in the use of computers and basic software applications; possesses above-average written and verbal communication skills; ability to perform under time pressure and meet deadlines; capable of traveling by air and vehicle; and able to provide own transportation for client assignments and personal development programs.
