This internship invites high-potential accounting students to dive into hands-on projects, contributing directly to Aprio’s standard of excellence in either Audit or Tax.

• Mission: To provide high-potential accounting students with on-the-job training and real-world experiences in Audit or Tax services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver professional client services: Contribute to either tax planning, consulting, and compliance services, or audit engagements focused on financial reporting and internal controls for diverse clients.
• Support client relationships: Interact directly with small, medium, and large clients to gather information, provide updates, and assist in addressing their accounting needs.
• Assist senior professionals: Work closely with partners and credentialed experts to develop and implement creative strategies and solutions for complex tax or audit challenges.
• Develop foundational accounting skills: Gain hands-on experience in evaluating accounting issues, assessing information quality for strategic decisions, or preparing various tax documents.
• Engage in professional development: Participate in a group project centered on volunteering and social impact, alongside networking events with firm employees and partners.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing an Accounting major, positioning the candidate at an entry-level stage of their career.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in applying Excel skills.
• Skills: Exceptional verbal communication skills, strong written communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively and personably with clients and co-workers.
