2027 Amazon Finance Rotation Program – Accounting Intern | Amazon

The Tone:
This is a 12-week internship at Amazon, located in Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA. Amazon’s Global Accounting organization is dedicated to building scalable processes and strong internal controls that support the company’s rapid growth across all lines of operations. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, enhancing the efficiency of close processes, and partnering with business and technology teams to launch new products and geographies in a controlled, automated manner. What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Execution: Complete a unique project tailored to your team within the Global Accounting organization.
• Problem Solving: Apply accounting, analytical, and business acumen to optimize processes, drive quality, and solve real problems.
• Collaboration: Partner with teams across accounting, finance, operations, and technology organizations.
• Presentation: Culminate the internship with a capstone project presentation to stakeholders and leadership.
• Career Path: Potentially receive an offer to join Amazon’s full-time Accounting Finance Rotation Program (AFRP) after completing your degree if an inclined hire decision is extended.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Accounting (or a dual degree/sub-matriculation master’s degree program completed concurrently with your bachelor’s degree at the same institution) with a graduation conferral date between December 2027 and June 2028. Career level: Entry-Level.
• Experience: Ability to work 40 hours/week throughout the course of a 12-week summer internship between May through September.
• Skills: Solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling).
