Job Description: 2025 Summer Internships

BAE Systems is seeking candidates for summer 2025 internships supporting all aspects of the engineering development and manufacturing lifecycle for complex electronic and mechanical systems. Interns will contribute to projects across air, land, and naval forces.

Roles and Responsibilities: Internship responsibilities may include:

• Providing engineering support to the design, development, and selection of basic hardware or software components, applying fundamental engineering principles.
• Gaining familiarity with company tools and processes.
• Performing analyses and compiling data for review by senior engineers.
• Assisting in the design, fabrication, or testing of prototype hardware or software.
• Documenting results for senior engineering personnel.
• Supporting assemblers, technicians, and inspectors in addressing manufacturing issues on new and existing products.
• Participating in and documenting corrective action requests using a 9-step problem-solving methodology.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Internship Opportunities:

• Networking with BAE Systems employees and other interns.
• Attending informational sessions on various topics.
• Participation in the LEAP Internship & Co-op Program (Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress), working alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engaging in career development, and networking with business leaders.

Required Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Self-motivated, with leadership skills and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to complete tasks efficiently.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

Pay Information:

Full-Time Salary Range: $44,200 – $59,700 (Note: This range is based on market pay structures; individual salaries are determined by various factors including business needs, location, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.) Temporary employees generally are not eligible for all BAE Systems benefits but may be eligible for some, depending on hours worked.
