About Company

The New York State Department of Transportation develops comprehensive transportation policy and a long-range master plan for the balanced development and operation of highways, railroads, mass transit, ports, waterways, and aviation facilities. It also administers public safety programs and state regulation concerning rates and service for intrastate railroads and motor carriers, while providing oversight for the safe operation of publicly subsidized bus, commuter railroad, and subway systems through the Public Transportation Safety Board.
