About the Job: Winter-Spring 2026 Co-op-Intern – Digital R&D Lab Automation

This co-op/internship role is for a Winter-Spring 2026 Co-op-Intern in Digital R&D Lab Automation, located in Cambridge, MA.

As a Digital R&D Co-Op, you will be a key player within Sanofi’s dynamic Digital R&D Lab Equipment Automation team. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the development and delivery of cutting-edge lab automation solutions. This involves leveraging modern technology, agile methodologies, and effective communication to help evolve research practices within the biopharmaceutical field.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration: Work closely with the Digital R&D team to design, implement, and maintain innovative lab automation solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their needs, ensuring the delivery of tailored automation solutions that meet their requirements.
Agile Participation: Actively participate in agile ways of working, contributing to sprint planning sessions, and working towards timely project delivery.
Hands-on Experience: Gain practical, hands-on experience with various lab equipment and advanced automation technologies.
Process Optimization: Contribute to the ongoing enhancement and optimization of lab processes through the application of technological innovation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Bioinformatics, or another relevant discipline at an accredited university.
• Expected completion of current degree by Spring of 2027.
• Ability to relocate to the office location (Cambridge, MA) and work 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship.
• Familiarity with digital technologies such as Cloud, Python, Databases (DB), and JavaScript.
• Must have prior work-related intern or co-op experience.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. (Note: Students on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT typically require future sponsorship and usually do not meet this requirement unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship).

Demonstrated leadership experience strongly preferred (e.g., student club, sports team, community/volunteer work).
