About the Job: Wholesale Intern
This is an unpaid internship opportunity within Lingua Franca’s Wholesale Team, designed for a current undergraduate student seeking academic credit.
Job Purpose:
The Wholesale Intern will provide essential support to the Wholesale Team in their day-to-day operations, including sample management, handling copy requests, and various other administrative and project-based tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Reporting: Create and maintain weekly style selling reports. Compile best seller performance data for weekly action meetings.
• Information & Content Management: Handle copy requests and provide product information for major department stores.
• Sample Management: Handle sample requests and meticulously manage the sample log in coordination with the Design & Production team.
• Market Preparation & Participation: Organize and actively participate in Market preparation activities and sample coordination. Assist directly in the showroom setup and tear down during Market periods.
• Collaboration: Engage with other teams on communal projects.
• Administrative Support: Provide support with various administrative tasks, including audits, data and order entry, and any ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Qualifications Required:
• Location: Must be based in the New York City area.
• Education: Must be a current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in a related field.
• Experience: Prior internship experience is required. Experience at a fashion brand is considered a significant plus.
• Duration: Ability to commit to working for 3 months, with the possibility of an extension based on performance.
• Skills:
• Excellent organization and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Ability to adapt effectively to constant shifting priorities and projects.
Pay and Hours:
• Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. However, Lingua Franca will provide experience that meets the criteria for academic credit and will complete any necessary paperwork provided by the student’s accredited academic institution to obtain course credit.
• Work Schedule: Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 15 hours per week. This internship is on-site with little to no remote work opportunities available.
