Internship, Megapack Sales, Energy (Fall 2026) | Tesla

The Tone:
This is an internship at Tesla, located in Austin, TX. Tesla builds electric vehicles, energy storage, and solar products, accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. This role matters by directly supporting the Americas Energy Sales Team in developing and selling large-scale battery energy storage solutions, contributing to the rapid growth and impact of grid-scale storage deployments.

• Team: The Americas Energy Sales Team focuses on the development and sales of Tesla Energy products.
• Mission: Support the sales workflow, cycle, and research efforts for front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter battery energy storage projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Facilitate sales workflow processes in collaboration with support organizations to enhance internal data tracking, reporting, and analytics.
• Assist: Contribute to the sales cycle, encompassing deal origination, project development management, and the deal closing process.
• Generate: Aid in quote generation and provide customers with high-quality, accurate project proposals, including responses to complex utility RFPs.
• Research: Investigate and report on diverse topics such as new markets, microgrid project opportunities, utility/state/federal policy updates, and unique storage projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing a degree in Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Strong analytical / quantitative skills concerning complex price models and storage/renewable project economics.
• Skills:
• Ability to clearly communicate concepts and support hypotheses with data.
• Ability to work across multiple teams to gain input and consensus.
• Bonus:
• 6-month availability for the internship.
