Job Description

This is an internship opportunity for the 2025 – Academy Soccer Science Intern at FC Dallas. The position is designed to provide individuals with valuable experience within a professional sports organization, specifically in the sports and entertainment industry.

Compensation:
• The pay is $8.00 per hour, which is non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):

Pre-Training Duties:
• Communicate with the physical performance staff regarding daily field setup requirements.
• Coordinate the distribution and preparation of GPS units for all players.
During Training Duties:
• Provide assistance to the performance staff directly on the field as needed, particularly concerning GPS technology and Strength & Conditioning activities.
Post-Training Duties:
• Organize and manage all equipment used during training sessions.
Download GPS data, export it, and communicate the findings to the performance staff.
• Create a daily training report and update the Daily Training Log, which includes player attendance information.
• Ensure all GPS units are fully charged and prepared for the following day’s activities.
• Connect with staff for an end-of-day recap and to plan for the next day’s schedule.
General Duties:
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the performance staff.

Candidate Profile (You Are):

• A friendly, upbeat student eager to work within the sports industry.
Hard-working, dedicated, and passionate about soccer.
• Capable of taking initiative and maintaining a high level of professionalism in a professional sports environment.
Deadline-driven and able to perform effectively under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Required to work a flexible schedule, which includes some nights, weekends, and holidays, dependent on the match schedule.

Qualifications:

• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must have a valid Driver License with a clean driving record and access to your own vehicle.
Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Major League Soccer (MLS) and FC Dallas.
